hi,, to tame a cr250 i suppose one could add a tooth on the front sproket, but that would make the low rpm torque poor.

if i did add a front tooth,, and then added a gnarly pipe, would that restore/add low rpm torque for hilly woods,, enough to matter?

thanks

I just added a 14oz flywheel weight to my 02, incredible!
keep stock sprocket sizes, get o-ring and won't have to adjust all the time.
I have stock pipe and fmf t-coreII spark arrestor 93db, sounds just like stock but legal & I won't burn down my trails or woods

I have a FMF Gnarly pipe and a Shorty Power CoreII silencer on my 04 CR, and I love it, it made the "hit" much more immediate and took away allot of the over rev. I also have installed a 12 ounce flywheel weight and I think that that is the best mod I have done to the bike to date. It has smoothed it out a tiny bit, but it is almost stall proof. Next I am going to put a 52 tooth sprocket on the back.
