It's a great bike. You'll love the power, it is strong from right above idle through the hard hitting mid, typical Kawie 250. The forks aren't all that good, but they are easy to fix. Take the time to jet it if the former owner hasn't, or you will constantly foul plugs if you ride in slow offroad conditions.
That was the first year of the permiter frame, they had these bolt on box section aluminum shock tower. If the bike was abused they could be prone to bending but I've never heard of it happening personally. Otherwise it should be one awesome 250 worth fixing up.
