1997 kx 250 rear wheel question

hey guys i have a quick question for you , is the rear rim on a 1997 kx250 supposed to be offset to the right and by that i mean not in the center of the hub, i just bought a used wheel on **** that was relaced and when i put it on the bike its not centered, i'm building the bike from spare parts so i dont have anything to go by. any help would be great thanks Dave

Every thing like that should be centered. The tire will rub the swing arm on one side if it's not centered. You'll have to do some surgury on those spokes, one side has been taken more than the other side aparently.

I think it is supposed to be dished about 30mm to the right. If someone didn't set the old wheel in a truing stand and measue the dish, then they probably just laced it up with no dish.
