hey guys, just installing a new clutch and cable on the bike . when i removed the cover to access the lower end of the cable a round spring/snap ring fell out into my hands. as my manuals have not yet arrived i'm looking for a little advice. i have no idea where it goes but i'm guessing it keeps tension on the clutch cable for it's return. it's round - about the size of a loonie/silver dollar, open at both ends and has a hook on one end. i'm not sure if it's complete or broken but i can't make it work. sound familier to anyone? thx.
