Advice please - PWK33 Jet Needle Replacement

Hi guys,
I have a '97 Suzuki RMX250 that ran on a Keihin PWK 33mm carby - that is, until the needle jet broke. The bike was running well throughout all circuits before that tragedy struck, on these settings:
Needle R1480S / DJW, 1st clip position (Stock: R1370N / CGL)
Main #158 (Stock: #165)
Pilot #40 (Stock: #52)
I'm guessing the lean settings are due to the 95% humidity around here.

The search for the exact same DJW needle has been a nightmare, stockists I have contacted all over do not carry them anymore. What they do have are the parts usually seen in charts over at the Sudco and Carbparts websites (see attachment below).

So my question is, restricted to the chart (which runs from AEG to EGQ), which needle should I go for to replace my broken one, taking into consideration that the DJW clip was in it's leanest setting?

Does changing needle taper compensate for anything, and if yes, to what degree?

Would I need to go rich on the main and pilot as well?

P.S. I have tried a NOZI needle off a friend's PWK38 to extremely smoky effect; engine starts, automatically over-revs, and then dies for good.

Thanks for your time, any help much appreciated!
