Got to ride the day after the Atlanta SX. The track was in great shape and there were some good riders out there. I walked off the step-up to a tabletop and it measured 87 feet (based on the highly accurate foot-meter reading of 29 paces).

More details later, but here a few helmet cam clips:

(Right-click and save-as since they are large)

This one was at 640x480 and is only 10 frames per second. I like the size, but it looks too choppy. He was running out of gas and it finally quit on him approaching the last jump, but I don't know if you can hear it.

Save area but better quality at a smaller size.

Save as the first two, but with the preceding double and whoops that Joe failed to warn me about.

I like the last video the best. Good job.

That track was a lot faster than I'm comfortable with. I was pretty intimidated. I was surprised how forgiving it can be for a spode like me though.

That track looks like a lot of fun! Some good air time with plenty of run before the jumps. Your camera angle is perfect :thumb: That used to kill me when they would show the fast lap on TV before the nationals and the camera would be pointed too far down.

It is! There were a couple of 80s out there clearing everything and at least one 65 doing it all.

It took me a while to get it aimed right. Surprisingly, this is the right angle:

Tommy enjoyed it, but his friend Mike was crazy about it. He wouldn't even leave the track to take a ride through the woods with us. I took Tommy for our first extended trail ride. It took about an hour and a half to get through the loop I had tried in the woods earlier in the day. He loved doing the small creek crossings and mud puddles. He even did surprisingly well with the small log crossings. I guess I was shocked because I've seen his father ride...not pretty.

:)

Log crossings are Matt's undoing. Need to work on those. For that matter, need to work on trails generally. Glad y'all had a great time!
