Im going to install the clutch side crank seal tomorrow in my 1994 kx250. I was just wondering if anyone has any sudgestions before I start and get into it. Also I was wondering if you have to split the case for the magneto side. I bought both and was going to do both at the same time, any help would be great, thanks.

I was under the impression that you had to split the cases to replace the crank seals on almost all Kawasaki's? I may be wrong, but I don't believe you can replace either seal without splitting the cases.

Oh man, can anyone confirm this? I would really like to know before I tear into it this weekend. If I have to I will just pull the motor and top end and take it to a shop to have the seals put in. I did this to have main bearings put in a rm125 years ago and labor was only 60 bucks. I brought them the parts and in two days I had my trans back with new bearing and crank seals. Does any one know for sure about splitting the case? thanks
