crf450 tripple clamp ?

I have an applied upper tripple clamp for my 01 cr 125, and i want to put it on my 03 crf 450. They fit but they dont go down to the mark on the forks, its off by about 1-2mm or so. Will this change my handling? Should i just leave on the stock ones, or should i attempt to take the 2mm off the applied tripple clamp?

As long as it sits flush on the top large adjuster nut i think it will work ok.

Why would you want to use the applied clamps anyway? Stock clamps are lighter, and plenty strong.

Do the cr125 clamps change your offset?
