We came home from the hare scramble yesterday, to see that the
building that joins to ours was on fire.
It was a big fire, and by the end of the afternoon, the ajoining
building was completely destroyed.
While the fire crews were working, we started removing bikes and
merchandize.
A large crew of volunteers, headed by my sons, Brandon & Gabriel,
removed the bikes, tires, much of the plastics, seat foams and covers,
and clothing before the smoke filled our shop.

I unhooked the computers, and we got those out of the building.

Then, the heat and smoke got so intense, that we had to get out and
stay out of the shop, while the firemen worked.

Through the diligent efforts of fire crews from four towns, the
damage to our shop was limited to smoke and water that made it through
the wall and ceiling.
That boom truck water cannon that was on the El Dorado fire truck
was amazing. It kept the fire from jumping from roof to roof, and
aside from all the firemen working so hard, was instrumental in saving
the SMS building. That thing can really shoot out the water.

None of our Gas Gas hard parts were damaged, and I personally
carried out all of the tall seat foams and gripper covers BEFORE the
smoke permeated the building. The smoke got so thick that one couldn't
see 5' into the smoke.

We will go down to the shop today, and do our best to get things
cleaned up and running. If you call, and we don't respond, please be
patient, and call back.
We will be "in and out" today.

Thank you, and, especially, a big "Thank You!" to the Smackover,
Louann, Norphlet, and El Dorado Fire Departments for saving Smackover
Motor Sports. Those guys worked fearlessly and went beyond the call of
duty.

Yup , the stick on the truck that I operate will put out 500 GPM . That will keep things nice and cool in front of some pretty extreme heat .
Props to the guys who saved one of the few places for Gasgas parts . :)
