Try a google/yahoo search for "helmet visors". You could always take it to your local dealer and see if they have something that fits. "SNELL" is a helmet rating, more stringent than "DOT". Helmets are rated every 5 years, sounds like grandpa's helmet is from 1980. In theory, a helmet is only good for 5 years at a time, and replaced if impacted once. Try posting a pick here, or describing the helmet. Is it an open face, full face with pivoting visor? If you can't post a picture, find a simular looking helmet online and post a link. By visor, do you mean the "duck bill" that shades your eyes from the sun? Or the actual "lens" you look through? I am assuming you mean the later. Here are some "visor" sites: http://auto-parts.vvx.net/Miscellaneous/Auto-Parts-23/Transparent-Smoke-Snap-on-Bubble-Peak-Helmet-Visor.html http://www.buymotorcyclehelmets.com/Riding+Helmete.html http://www.visorsworldwide.com/ Hope this helps, Steve.
