I'm Thankful For.....

I always reflect on what I am truly thankful for at this time of year.  I should try to do it more often as a reality check, but I always come to the conclusion that I am a truly blessed individual :confused:

• My Family for being diverse and strong and supportive
• My college education
• My 15 years with the same company
• Karna and Justin for their continued support
• Julie and Shannon and Jennifer and Greg for teaching me how to ride
• All of my dirt friends, who have added SO MUCH FUN into my life
• My ability to travel and my 4 annual weeks of vacation
• My health
• My home
• My dog and cat who think I'm just awesome every time I walk in the front door.
• The ability to see beauty in nature and appreciate its source

Everybody have a SAFE and FUN THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY!!!  Take the time to tell the people you love that you are thankful they are in your life!!!

Its a good thing I'm not riding another enduro for two weeks, and YES, I'm still sore!!  I could hardly lift my arms to shampoo my hair or lift a cup of coffee to my lips.  I thought my arms were going to fall off yesterday.

Oh yeah, I forgot one:  I'm thankful for Tylenol and Captain Morgan.

Great post, Natalie.  Not to sound too "me-too-ish" but my list is similar to yours:

I am thankful for:

• My mother who has taught me to be independent and intelligent (well she tried anyway) and strong and think for myself
• My stepdad who has been more of a father than he has any obligation to be;
• My dirt-friends who have watched and laughed and sympathized (and ducked from flying objects) over the last 3 years;
• My college education for sure and my mother again for helping me through it;
• My ability to write that hopefully can take me where I want to go;
• My KTM!!!
• KTM manufacturer
• KTM dealers
  
• DRN of course!!!

Thanks Natalie for the thoughts.

It left me thinking how grateful I am for

• the wonderful friends and family that I am blessed with,
• my really cool buds at DRN,
• the fact that my parents are still alive and well in my heart,
• my two kookie cats, Missy and Penelope, that sleep on me when it is cold and race me to the food bowl in the mornings,
• the talent and success that God has blessed me with,
• the reawakening of my spirituality,
• being able to say "I love you" and not feel embarrassed or goofy,
• and, of course, the fact that my bones are almost healed! :yeehaw:

For the first time in my life, I am the eldest at Thanksgiving this year.  I was struggling with what to say as a blessing.  Now I know.

Thankful for?

If you were to ask me that two months ago, I'd tell you the usual day to day ups in life... but these days I have SO MUCH MORE to be thankful for.  Funny thing is all of it comes in the shape of one man.  A man who has given me so much without even lifting a finger... a man who has shown me the true meaning of love.  I have never felt as alive or complete as I do now and I owe all of it to him.  Sweetheart, you have done more for me than I will ever be able to thank you for... but that won't stop me from trying.  ;)

 

For those of you who understand what I'm saying... need I say more.  :yeehaw:

For those of you who don't... Yes, I'm being mushy... don't mind me.  :moon:

That is sooooo sweet and I have to say I feel the same way about my husband. I am thankful for everything he as done and the wonderful father he is to our boys.

• Army for my education
• Surviving the above to get said education
• My faith
• Health
• Surviving and thriving just about every dumb thing I've done
