If you go to www.kawasaki.com, then go under owners info, and then parts diagrams, you can input the VIN to determine what you have. I tried running yours, and it doesn't show up, they can't identify it. Are you sure the VIN you've got posted is correct?

From your description of the bike though, it is an early to mid 80's KX if it is full size, or mid to late 80's if it is a KX 80.

It's an 84 KX 250. You were missing a K in the VIN. The correct VIN should be jkakxmc1xea004133, if I'm not mistaken.

In case you hadn't noticed, since Kawasaki has a VIN lookup on their website, he already knows it is an 84 KX 250. Much easier than posting pics, and hoping it hasn't had parts scrounged from other years bolted on etc.

Just for yall's info, the 10th digit of VINs since 83 or 84 I think represent the year. Cars and bikes. each subsequent year the letter indexed 1 place, probably skipping letters like I, O, maybe S because of similarities to numbers. Starting in 2001 I think that digit became numbers with 1 indicating 2001, etc. My 98 yz has a W, my 00 van has a Y. USA VIN's anyway.
