If there is enough material still there they can thread it for the next size larger bolt or if not tig weld it closed then drill and re-tap tap it to the original. I'm going to assume that the plug is in the case not a cover right? What ever you do after the repair make sure to flush out any metal left behind by leaving the plug out and puring plenty of oil through the fill.
