Alessi sure did look good in that second moto. That is until he got passed by Short. Maybe he has a medical condition? Maybe he isn't in good enough shape? Maybe he ate a bad salad? Gee is there any possiblility that he just flat out lost?

Where's the excuses?

Man I tell ya, the suspense was killing me! I couldn't wait to see the 250 results.. thanks for posting them Mark.

<sarcasm off>

Note to RC. Please retire after this season so there's a reason to watch the Nationals.
Thank you.

While Short was by far the faster rider I think Alessi missed a chance to completely check out in moto 2 with a few tactical mistakes. For some reason Alessi kept going to the absolute outside of the turn before the double/double/triple section every lap until Short was right on his back tire. Short meanwhile tucked it fairly tight in the turn a difference of a substantial amount of distance and time for just that one turn each lap. At least Alessi's bike made it through both moto's, he broke his bike racing on amateur day after coming up a tad short on the holy Schmit.

In all seriousness, Alessi's been fading a lot lately. What's up? Where's the 'rat when you need him?

Neph I agree about the fading and once Short did get by him he was gone in a hurry so it may have been a moot point. It just struck me as an odd choice that he would go all the way to the outside of this berm each lap as it was a big detour. I don't recall seeing any other rider in either class go to the outside unless forced there by traffic.

How about Jeff? He had a 12th place moto in the 250 class earlier this year (Mike's best 250 moto last year was 16th) and this week got a 9th place 125 moto. I think Jeff is smoother and more consistant, may just turn out to be the faster of the two.

I thought Mike scored a podium last year . . . :think:

Didn't anybody read senior KX riders results? Mike A. did quite well in fact he had a significant lead for quite a few laps. Does anybody know what his early/latter laps times where? It did look like he faded. Much like bubba has (hence my original sarcastic comments).

Yup he faded and he was going to the out side a lot..... :bang:
but he did start fast. Oh ya I agree I want RC to keep going till someone takes it from him too, a guys gotta have closure. :)

PS I wasn't going to go till the last minute, the install I was on, had a severe lake of expediency on the customers end so I said enough and went home, picked up the famliy and went to the race.!!! :nod:

I was reading the points not the position on the 2004 chart :bang:

He had a 4th and an 8th for a 3rd overall.
