Rich/Eric 200/250exc engine info?

Rich/Eric, Can you give me the low-down on the 200/250exc engine and tranny reliability? I am in the market for an 05 200exc and I have heard the trannys can let go. I've also read that those who own the 200 recommend changing the tranny oil every other ride. Looking for any words of wisdom in terms of reliability risk/specific maintence recommendation for the 200/250exc. Thanks.

3 of my buddies including myself have 03 sx's. 2-200's, 1-250. The tranny's are good in all the bikes and they have been raced. One thing to keep an eye on is that the o-rings behind the countershaft sprocket have went bad on every bike. Small amount of tranny fluid leak here while riding. The sprocket will have streaks on it when you stop riding. Also if the bike is left on the triangle stand for very long you'll notice a drip under the bike too.
