ok, Ive seen em , heard em, even rode a couple..now Im thinking of building one .
I want to swap a sport/street motor to a big quad frame-
has anybody done it ,or have a friend who has?
Is there a good frame / motor combo thats is a fairly simple swap?
other than motor/ tranny mounts is there any major fab that needs to be done ? do I need to rebuild the entire frame ?
I'm just trying to get a handle on what Im getting myself into. I know I need to get heavy/racing swingarms, suspension, wide axle & a-arms, all buyable stuff..my big questions revolve around frame fab & fitting the powerplant.
I want to stay away from the overdone shee ( unlees its just an easier swap) , so Im thinking r1 or r6 into a raptor, a zx7 or 9 into a polaris, gsxr into a ds, maybe even a cbrr6 or 9 into a trx ( but it looks like alot of frame re-fab).
any help , websites, or info would be much appriciated. you guys that want to complain or insult , please dont waste the time to repost...theres plenty of you already !
