I have searched quite a bit and haven't found exactly what i'm looking for. I want to adjust the timing on 96 KDX 200. I have it geared really low (12/50) because i ride extremely slow gnarly terrain, usually never get pasted 3rd gear. My bike has alot of hit and i want to smooth it out. I put on a Steahly FWW and it smoothed it quite a bit and made it alot better. Would adjusting the timing help smooth out the "hit" if i retarded it some? I want plenty of low end, but i think i have my bike geared low enought to suit me.

the problem is if you retard the timing to take some hit out of the bottom you'll loose bottom end power and pick some up on the top (not a huge change but youcan tell a difference). if you advance the timing you will pick up more bottom end but it will make it snappier down low.
