Why add it to our motocross track!!!! Finally, after 4 weeks of stripping top soil from where we are putting up our building and hauling it a mile down the road to our track, we finally shaped all the jumps and corners and if it doesn't snow :moon: I'll be riding this weekend!!! ;)

Must be nice. Everyone should have 2,000 yards of dirt to play with :)

That's a whole lot of truck'in dirt. We to are in the process of making a track, except we don't have to haul any dirt. The place were we're putting our track is old farm land so there is already about 6"+ off top soil.

It was 50+ loads with a 40 yard dump. We build 1 jump that must of been about 100 feet long but we chickened out and pushed it to about 65'. We have a series 3 dozer with a wide track that we keep there full time, and a series 6(big) track loader part time.

dirt dirt dirt. i talked to a track builder and we're gonna make a pond(borrow pit) to get our dirt, lil pond by the club house/scorring station. only problem is, this guy says he'll do it, then he don't show up and it takes me a couple weeks to track him down again.

That's how our track started out, we dug a small pond, probally about 100 x50 yards. Any where from 4 to8' deep. You'd wouldn't believe how moch dirt you will get from there.

I've been working on a track without any really good dirt. I envy you. I also am using a tractor with frontend loader. :( Tough and slow process. Maybe some day I'll talk my father into buying the dozer he has talked about. :ugg:
