1995 kx250 wont start. (new to bikes, whats the checklist to go about fixing it)

the things got gas. i check the fuel line that runs down into the carb and carb is getting fuel. im gonna head out and check the plug right now. i think i found the idle adjustment screw but im not sure where it should be set. if i kick it, the plug should spark, correct? im an electric start quad junkie so im kinda clueless. help if ya can.

got it started. the plug was good... just had to adjust the idle screw. :ride:
