2004 rm250 shaft seal

i just noticed on my 04 suzuki rm250 that its leaking oil .seems like its coming from around the shaft for the front sprocket . do i have to split the case to replace the seal. or does it come out form the outside?. havent got the sprocket off yet, i need to bring my snap ring pliers home tomorow :bang: . but im pretty sure thats where it leaking from. thanks. im hoping for an easy fix :|

how about an 04? is this a common problem? had the bike leaned against the wall, and seen it had an oil trail under it. first i seen if it!
