Gasket material

Does anyone here make there own cylinder base gaskets? When you start pulling you jug off frequently to check the condition of the top end it can get expensive at $22.00 a pop to replace cylinder gaskets. I was thinking about getting some OEM gasket material and pounding a few out myself. Is anyone doing this? If so. Where are you getting your gasket material from, and how much. Does anyone know how thick the OEM stuff is?

I make my own gaskets for my other bikes... but for my kx i always buy them....
Just today i made a base gasket for my ke...
I get it at auto zone or somthing like that.. i cant remeber the price
