Hello, my name is Coby. Im 17 and I have been riding dirtbikes since I was 4.

Because of my bad relationship with my father (the one that got me riding in the first place) I havent been able to do the one thing I love more than anything in a year.

Money is tight and Im trying to decide whether to get a car, or a bike so I can ride. And if I choose a bike, what to get, a 2 or 4 stroke.

I know very little about any kind of engine and it is my goal to learn so I can maintain my future bike.

So I need help deciding what kind of bike to get (stroke, model year, ect...)

I also need some help on the basics of maintaining a motorcycle.

Hey Coby, welcome to the site.

It sounds like your choice will be dictates by needs. If the bike will be a primary means of transportation, it will need to be plated.

There are a number of affordable DS bikes out there. With the cost of fuel, that is where I would bbe leaning.

Of course, weather is a factor. Where do you hang your hat?
