Knee brace, Askerik or CTi2

I tore my ACL 6 weeks ago and am getting a brace for both knees. I have a perscription for a CTi2 for my bad knee, my insurace will only cover 70% and that is if they cover it at all, my cost $507 or $1700 if insurace dosen't cover and I would have to buy a Asterik for my good knee $300. Is one Cti2 worth the extra $260, is it that much better? Or should I just order two Asteriks?

CTi2 is custom, Astrik is Generic. Depends how it fits you

Im in the same exact boat as you! I think Im going to call my insurance and see what I can find out. If I can get a set of 2 Asterisk and turn it in to insurance versus 1 CTI2 then its a no brainer for me. The knee cap protection on the CTI2 is not as good from what I hear. shattered my knee. my doctor rides also and he uses and I bought the Asterisk. He stated the overall protection was better since they are speciffically designed for motocross.

Insurance will not (usually) pay for the Cells, they are not classified as medical devices.

I hurt something in my leg. The doctor told me that if he took some fluid out in a spot and it had blood in it, I would have torn the ACL but the MRI says that I didn't, so We dont know whats wrong yet. We'll see what the doctor says.
