kx250f troubles

My 06 Kawasaki kx250f is having some troubles... it wont idle at all, unless you have it at high RPM's it just stalls. Also, when its moving it is backfiring ALOT. i havent checked the plug yet but if anyone could help me out here it would be appreciated, it hasnt been raced and i have just started riding it hard this year for a couple months... could i be having engine trouble already. And, i do maintain the bike well, i follow all the periodic maintinance in the manual.

What did the valve clearances measure?

Nevermind, thanks anyway but my decompression lever was stuck open... my handguards got in the way. it runs fine now

Your bike doesnt have a decompression lever..... that is your hot start lever.
