Just pulled the top end of my 'new to me' 03 YZ250 and with the exhaust valves fully closed the center valve has probably 1/8 inch of clearance from the piston. I assumed it was gunked up so I took it all apart only to find eveything clean and in good working order. Is that much clearance of the center valve normal on a YZ250 ?
