tranny problems 98 cr80 expert

im having some problems with my cr80 tranny. but it only does it sometimes.i turn it on, when i go to ride and go through the gears it seems like teh gears arent going all the way through. so it sounds like the gear is not even moving up, its just staying at one point.

Is the shifter bent?

do you mean the gearshifting mechanism? that you hit with your foot.

I would check the splines on shift shaft (shifter side)
If shifter was ever loose the splines may be stripped.
If you puill clucth cover you can check shifter actuation.
I would also check condition of clutch.
