yes i am a total nob and need help

hey i am not really into riding yet but i have a broken bike i'd like to fix so maybe i could get into it. my question is "whay kind of bike is it?" ill try to post some pics of it. im pretty sure all i need to do is get a gas tank,a seat and hook up some wires.otherwise i dont know if i need annything. please help me.

thats the thing. i dont know what brand it is. what i want to do is find out what brand and model the bike is, then get the manual from that company and fix it up. i will send you some pics of it. please put them up for me.

DRN helps those that help themselves. If you can't figure out a way to put pictures up that somebody can see there is no way we can tell you anything helpful beyond look at the frame stamp on the steering head of the frame and maybe tell us what color it is.

Meanwhile, what color is your bike? Did you look for the VIN on your stem as Patman obliquely suggested?

oh, since you've probably not done the forum thing before, and have the patience of a 15 year old, you might want to spend a little time reading this:

The FAQs aren't particularly current and some things aren't spelled out particularly well, and as far as I know you can't do somethings it says you can do (Like delete your own posts) and you can do some things it says you can't (like sell things even though you aren't a member).... but, reading it might help you keep from getting your fanny chewed by the guys with a bad hang over who stroll through here and eat 15 year olds like they were martini olives.

look on the tube that the handlebars are connected to. On one side or another, there is usually a plate with model and year information.

What color is it?

Is the exhaust pipe extremely fat near the engine (like 3-4 inch diameter), or is it fairly small like 1-1.5 inch in diameter? (2 stroke or 4 stroke clue)

Does it sound more like a chain saw / weedwhacker, or more like a fat man farting his way up a set of stairs?

Is there a headlight?

Turn signals?

Does it have an electric starter?

This will be way more fun if we can figure it out without pictures.

looks like a chinese knock-off. You should be able to make Honda XR/CRF50 plastic work on it.
