Thank you all in advance for your comments.
I am 25 years old and want to trail/field ride what do you suggest?
1) 6' 230lbs
2) strong/agressive
3) fields & woods with friends/light jumping no tabletopping /no street
4) rode when I was a kid - been off bikes for 9-10 years
5) No Racing
6) Zero mechanical knowlege but have friends who will help if needed
7) I like the kawasaki brand & there is a dealer very close who carries kawa, honda & suzuki
9) budget $4-5k
10) I've ridden 3 wheelers & street bikes, but I haven't ridden dirtbikes since I was a kid and Im worried that Im about to spend $4k on a bike that I will not satisfy my need for power.
Called the dealer who told me he has a 2005 kawa kx300 that would be a good fit based on what I've said here. I went to sit on it and it feels good. It's being sold as brand new with warranty for for $4k. Part of me wants a 450 but my brain keeps telling me I don't need it and the kx300 will be fine and is a fair price.
I know little to nothing about dirtbikes and am really leaning on you all to tell me why the kx300 is or isn't a good fit.
I don't know if the kx300 is a 2 or 4 stroke.
I haven't been able to find info on the kx300 on the web.
I can't find used or new to compare pricing. I don't know what to think about the fact that I can't find any kx300's for sale new or used.
