A friend has recently purchased a KTM 50LC snr but the engine is too fast to be safe for his boy-he had a Husky 50jn but that was alot slower.I am thinking of putting a throttle stop but i also am thinking of putting a washer in the exhaust opening but how big should it be?50% of the bore of the exhaust?Or should i choke off the opening of the carb?or both?

If it were me, I'd probably try adding head gaskets before I started trying to choke it off.

Washers above the slide to stop it opening far would be an easy throttle stop.

Also a lanyard kill-switch that you can follow him around with & “pull the plug” if he gets overzealous.

Should this be in Mods & performance? Perhaps Oki can start a new forum called [damn can't think of a good name] Lack of performance? ;)
