Despite the fact that it was misty until 9:30 yesterday, we had a great time at Plains! We didn't have even 30 riders show up, but they were all the regulars.

The mist cleared  about 9:30am and the wind picked up with the sun peeking out of the clouds around Noon. The track was excellent after that.

Practice was not much fun as there were a couple of corners that were ankle deep with mud so we were able to cut a few places on the track in the morning motos. By the afternoon the track was PERFECT!! The corners dried up enough to make great berms. The jumps were tacky so the take-offs were fun and you could really hit them hard and feel confident that you wouldn't slide out.

For the dash for cash at intermission we got creative. We had 12 kids on 80's and 5 on 60's. I was recruited to the 60's. We teamed up into teams of 3, 2 on 80's and one on a 60. Each rider did one lap, an 80 rider, the 60 rider and then the other 80 rider. The team that crossed the finish line first won their entry fees back. It was a blast.

There were  2 riders in Over 40 and one Over 30 with only 2 125's. The rest were Mini's. This would have been the best day for you to get time on the track. It was really iffy to begin with but we had fun.

Hope you had a great weekend....
