What the hell happened at this event? Someone at our club meeting last night said the sherriffs showed up and told everyone to leave or the promoting club [Pathfinders} would be arrested !?

Yep, that's pretty much what happened. The sherrifs were there, and ready to ticket anyone with the most minor infraction. It was obvious they were going to shut the event down, no matter what. There's a lot more discussion going on at other North East dirtbike forums regarding follow up.
You guys should have come down to Paragon. We had a blast and never saw one cop! :p
AP Story on this 8/29
On Sunday 8/29 the Hartford Courant ran an AP written story on this event. The bottom line being that the Vermont Atty. General is investigating complaints that the police acted improperly and possibly illegally in preventing this event.Good work folks! Don't take this s#!*, or soon you will have no where to ride, even on private property, if it annoys some tree hugger. Keep the board informed of developments and thanks, Jim G.
